On the quaint island of Coronado the Hotel Del Coronado was built in 1887 and designated a national historic landmark in 1977.  CCI was honored to be selected as a subcontractor throughout several phases of renovation.  During Phase I in 2000,  CCI completed the seismic and structural  upgrades.  The initial section of the hotel was constructed in 1887 and presented unique design problems requiring innovative solutions.  The architect specified finishes on the flatwork that reflected the historic nature of the hotel.  Phase 2 was recently completed an added underground spa and 32 hotel/condo cabanas.  Both phases were completed by CCI for Swinerton Builders, as the General Contractor.
